You may be able to run it on one of those operating systems using a Virtual Machine such as Parallels Desktop for the Mac. Also you may be able to run it under Wine on Linux. I can give no support for those ways of running it. But if you try it and report a bug I'll do my best to fix it. For details: No native mac or linux What is Shareware?You download a free trial program, and try it out before the purchase. It's rather like test driving a car before you buy it. You can make sure that it is suitable for your purposes and compare it with other products, before you buy it. The details of how this is done varies from program to program. With Bounce Metronome Pro, the same download is used for purchase and for the test drive. Your test drive unlocks all the features for thirty days. How do I unlock the program?You will receive an unlock key code instantly when you complete the order. This is valid for all future releases of Bounce Metronome Pro. If you have already downloaded the program, there is no need to download a new version. You just unlock the download to convert it into the fully featured program. I have purchased Bounce Metronome before. Can I update to a new order type?You can upgrade from Pro to Complete, (to fully unlock Tune Smithy as well). To do that, order the Midi Relaying (Midi In) code for Tune Smithy, and enter it on a new line below your original unlock code using Help | Show Unlock key. You end up having two codes in the unlock window, and you may prefer to have a single unlock key. If so, you can contact me to convert them to a single code for the new ordering level. Can I get it on CD?Yes, you can buy the setup program on CD - buy it through FastSpring, and select the option to add it on CD on the order page. Or do you want just the CD on its own without an unlock key?You can also order the CD on its own using PayPal. Note. This CD has the same setup program you download from the download page. You only need to get it on CD if for some reason you can't download it to your computer. Also sometimes the CD lags a bit behind the software you can download because it takes them about a day to update when I make any changes to the CD, and because sometimes for very minor changes I don't update the CD at all. If you don't need it on CD, it is better to get the latest from the download page instead. You will need an unlock key to unlock the program on the CD. You can use it for 30 days without an unlock key. Why are there these country dependent discounts?The reason I have different price levels for different countries is to take account of the exchange rates between countries, and differences in average earnings. For instance a price that's half an hour of earnings for a professional in full time employment in the US might be several days of earnings for the same professional in India. Since there are no material costs involved, then I can adjust the prices in this way depending on the country. So, this helps to make the prices equitable. Basically means the same amount of time you need to work to earn the price of the software whatever your country. I use PayPal or Google Checkout to process the payments, and an industry respected third party e-junkie to supply your unlock keys to you instantly and to send you the thankyou e-mail. The e-mail address you provide during the checkout is used only to send you the unlock key and thankyou e-mails, i.e. only for the purpose for which you provide it. I never see your credit card details. I do see your snail mail address which is used for verification by PayPal or Google Checkout - they show it to me in their notification e-mail. However you can get generous discounts, in some cases the price may be less than a dollarIf you have a very low income you can get a 90% off discount on the prices, and if you live in a country such as India or are a citizen of such a country, even higher discounts are possible such as 98% off. As far as I know there are no genuine cracks available for this product, at least, I've had no reports of any and haven't found any myself. It is well protected by a third party company who specialise in protecting software from crackers. When searching for cracks for my software on-line, I find few sites that list the product at all (which tends to confirm that there are no genuine cracks available). The ones that do are often obviously very dodgy - so much so that I'd rather not test their supposed crack to confirm that it is not genuine. I believe that these sites are probably not genuine, especially with what I know about how well protected the software is. At least some of these sites may be designed to steal your personal details or to infect your computer e.g. with viruses or premium rate hidden dialing programs or similar. Please, for your own safety, keep well away from them. Instead get a low cost discount unlock key here. If even the 90% off discount is too much for you, then choose the 98% discount (don't worry that it says you need to be in India etc. to get it) and you will be able to buy the complete program for less than a dollar, currently - 0.99 cents. I don't want any of my potential customers to feel the need to go to these dodgy cracker sites to find a way to use the software.
